A 19-year-old student from Kakamega County has tested positive for coronavirus.
Confirming the news was Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya who revealed that the student had arrived from London.
Upon his arrival, he is reported to have taken a boda boda ride forcing the rider to undergo quarantine at the Kakamega County Referral Hospital.

His family was also exposed to the patient and are currently under medical checkup.
Governor Oparanya emphasized the need for county officers to remain at home in the next 15 days.
He continued by confirming that testing kits will be distributed across the county to combat the virus.
