Kalonzo summoned by DCI over Yatta farm ownership

This is the second time that the Wiper party leader has been summoned by the officers with the first time being in January 2021.

On Wednesday, he was accompanied by several lawyers including Senator James Orengo and Mutala Kilonzo Jr as he looks forward to sorting clearance as to how he obtained the large portion of land located in Machakos County.

News about the farm came to light when Deputy President accused Kalonzo of being a land grabber and that he obtained the land illegally at the expense of the residents who look up to him.

Armed with all relevant documents, Kalonzo proved his case in January as he turned the heat on the Deputy President to also prove how he acquired the land where the controversial Weston Hotel lays.

The Deputy President has also been attacked by other leaders who have questioned his integrity especially on matters of land and how he acquired his wealth. Several leaders have questioned his source of wealth that he generously shares every Sunday.

DP Ruto has however remained firm on his side of the story terming himself as a true definition of a hustler to who he is today.
