Premier League sides Leeds and Manchester City have both reached verbal agreement to sign England midfielder Kalvin Phillips on a permanent basis.
The deal will see the midfielder depart his boyhood club where he rose through the ranks of the academy before receiving full recognition under coach Marcelo Bielsa.
Even though the two sides have reached a verbal agreement, officials from both camps are yet to agree personal terms before Phillips undergoes medical.

Manchester City turned towards the England midfielder following the confirmed departure of Fernandinho with the 26-year-old termed the perfect replacement for Pep Guardiola’s side.
Kalvin Phillips signing is among the very many deals Premier League clubs such as Manchester City, Liverpool, Tottenham and Arsenal are aggressively working on ahead of the new season.
After missing out on top signings last transfer window, Arsenal will also try and raid Raphinha from Leeds and go ahead of rivals Tottenham who are interested in the Brazilian winger.
Barcelona who were previously favourites to clinch him backed out of the deal leaving the Gunners the door open to complete the transfer once agreements are dealt with.
