Kamukunji police raid a shop selling stolen mobile phones

Detectives based at Kamukunji police station have arrested mobile phone dealers selling stolen items.

The police raided the shop following information on the notorious mobile phones dealers within Muroto along Jogoo road.

A total of 155 phones were recovered with a majority of them confirmed to be smartphones.

Three suspects were arrested when they failed to account for the source of the items recovered.

“Detectives & Police officers based at Kamukunji, in pursuit of information on notorious stolen mobile phone dealers raided a shop within Muoroto along Jogoo road where they recovered a total of 515 assorted mobile phones majority of them being smartphones.”

Currently they are being held and they will be arraigned in court where they will be charges with possession of stolen goods.

“Three suspects who could not give a proper account of all the phones in their possession were arrested.

The trio will appear in court, will be charged with having in their possession suspected stolen property contrary to Sec 323 of the Penal Code and the recovered items presented as exhibit.”
