Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) journalist Betty has on Wednesday been laid to rest at her home in Kajiado County.
The ceremony was attended by close friends and family member in strict adherence of COVID-19 guidelines after a memorial service at Montezuma Funeral Home.
Speaking at the ceremony, her family described the late Betty Barasa as a welcoming person whose character could be seen by the people who hanged with her.

They continued by calling on the police to continue with the pursuit of the perpetrators of the cruel act that robbed her three children a mother as well as render her husband a widower.
The April 7th incident happened as Betty Barasa was arriving home from work when two armed men armed with an AK47 escorted her inside before taking captive of her family.
They then took her upstairs before shooting her and leaving with her laptop and phone among other valuables. Reports indicate that the police are investigate a possible assassination plot.
