Kenya Airways Crew arrested in Mumbai with 13Kg of gold bars

On Monday 12th of February 2018,a man who is alleged to a crew member of Kenya Airways was arrested with 13kg of gold bars estimated to be worth ksh 100 million in Mumbai India.

The gold bars were tacked around the man’s waist and knee caps.According to The times of India,Mr Abdalla Ali 29 was arrested as he was checking into one of the five star hotels near the airport.

Arrested alongside Abdalla was 26 year old Ibrahim Ali Hussein who was alleged to be the collector of the gold.According to the Indian newspaper,that is the biggest haul of smuggled goods to be have seized from an airline staff in the city of Mumbai.

Mr Abdalla is reported to have arrived at around 4pm aboard Kenya Airways KQ210,cleared customs but was arrested as he was heading to the hotel.

Police officers suspected him as another national walked close to him.Kenya Airways is yet to talks about the incidence.
