Kenya through the Ministry of Health has confirmed 152 new cases of COVID-19 from 2,224 samples tested.
The new cases now bring to 36,981 the cumulative number of confirmed cases and 516,706 the cumulative number of samples tested so far.
All new cases are Kenyans except 13 who are foreigners comprising of 84 males and 68 females aged between 3-years and 89-years.

In terms of distribution per county, Nairobi records the highest number of new cases at 34, Mombasa 24, Kisii 20 Kiambu 19, Kisumu 19, Nakuru 10, Turkana 8, Kajiado 3, Kakamega 2, Meru 2, Embu 2, Kericho 1, Marsabit 1, Nyamira 1, Samburu 1, Siaya 1, Uasin Gishu 1, Taita Taveta 1, Machakos 1 and Murang’a 1.
At the same time, the Ministry of health confirmed 110 new recoveries in the 24 hours bringing the confirmed number of recoveries in the country to 23,887.
Out of the new recoveries, 71 of them are from various hospital across the country and 39 of them from home-based care.
On a sad note, two more patients died from complication brought about by the virus bringing to 648 the number of confirmed deaths.
