Mr. Hudson Andambi has been appointed the acting Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) acting managing director following the arrest of the current MD Joe Sang.
Joe Sang was arrested alongside other top managers on Friday morning over graft allegations.
Mr. Sang was scheduled for a parliamentary grilling following the auditor general report on the construction of the 470km pipeline from Mombasa to Nairobi.
The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission is also conducting investigations into the procurement of Ksh 640 million hydrant valves claimed to have been lost.
The appointment of Mr. Hudson is to ensure that operations at the parastatal continue as usual without interruptions.
How Joe Sang was arrested?
The arrest of Mr. Joe Sang is said to have begun on Thursday night after the Deputy Public Prosecutor approved charges against him.
The approvals were then received by the Director of Criminal Investigation boss George Kinoti who then called on his detectives to make the arrest of all those implicated.
Mr. Sang had already informed KPC of his intention to leave the parastatal at the end of his term.
