Kenya Power has issued a statement apologizing for the power outage that had rocked parts of the country.
The power blackout that lasted for over 1 hour affected Nairobi, Rift Valley, Western Nyanza and South Nyanza.

According to the suppliers, the outage was caused by a technical hitch that affected two major lines supplying the affected area.
“We would like to apologize to our customer for the inconvenience caused and reassure them that our technical team is currently working to identify the root cause and restore power to the affected areas.” said Kenya Power.
