On Friday Senator Kipchumba Murkomen addressed Kenya power saying they could not deny his people the right to watch the INEOS 1:59 challenge when Eliud Kipchoge was in fact training there.

“That’s not possible. @EliudKipchoge has been training in ELgeyo Marakwet which is the home of champions.

Elgeyo Marakwet is synonymous to Athletics. You can’t deny us, especially in Iten and environs the right to watch our heroes. Change your plans”
