Kenya Railways to add five more Madaraka express coaches

Kenya Railways has announced plans to add extra coaches due to the high demand for Madaraka Express tickets.

In their announcement, Kenya Railways revealed that it will add five coaches from August 19 to August 22nd.

The additional coaches will be for the Nairobi to Mombasa morning train and the Mombasa to Nairobi afternoon train.

Last week, each the concept behind each and every station in the phase 2 construction was revealed.

The soaring eagle highlighted by the wing-like strong straight lines at Ngong station symbolizes the energy of the local community.

The Mai Mahiu station multiple peak alternated façade was derived from the mountainous landscape of the surrounding location.

Last but not least is Suswa station concept which was derived from the local traditional dancing and rhythm as well as the use of brick which is a local material.
