Kenya has on Monday confirmed 105 new cases of COVID-19 from 3,573 samples tested in the last 24 hours.
The new cases push the cumulative number of confirmed cases to 104,306 and cumulative number of samples tested to 1,269,346.
“Today 105 people have tested positive to the disease, out of a sample size of 3,573 tested in the last 24 hours. The total confirmed positive cases are now 104,306. The cumulative tests so far conducted are 1,269,346. From the cases 88 are Kenyans while 17 are foreigners.” Said Ministry of Health.

Distribution of cases by county; Nairobi 68, Kiambu 12, Laikipia 5, Kajiado 4, Mombasa 3, Machakos 3, Nakuru 2, Nyeri 2, Uasin Gishu 2, Kericho 1, Kisumu 1, Kwale 1 and Mandera 1.
In the same 24 hours 49 patients have recovered from the virus, 34 of the cases coming from home-based care and 15 from various hospitals across the country. This now brings to 85,626 the cumulative number of confirmed recoveries in the ountry.
“On a positive note, 49 patients have recovered from the disease, 34 from the Home Based and Isolation Care while 15 are from various health facilities. Total recoveries now stand at 85,626.” Said Ministry of Health
Unfortunately, 4 patients succumbed in the last 24 hours from the virus pushing the confirmed number of fatalities to 1,827.
“Sadly, 4 patients have succumbed to the disease pushing our cumulative fatalities to 1,827. Our sincere condolences to the families and friends of those who have lost their loved ones.” Said MOH
