The Ministry of Health in Kenya has on Saturday confirmed 20 COVID-19 fatalities, 8 of which are from the last month and 12 being late reports from hospitals.
This now push the cumulative number of deaths in the country to 2,463 as confirmed by the Ministry of Health.
“20 deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours with, 8 of the deaths having occurred on diverse dates within the last one month, while 12 are late deaths reported after conducting facility record audits. This now pushes the cumulative fatalities to 2,463.” Said Ministry of Health.

The Ministry also confirmed 1,027 new cases of the virus from a sample size of 7,184.This now brings the cumulative number of cases and samples to 151,287 and 1,599,668.
“1,027 people have tested positive to Covid-19 on Saturday bringing the number of confirmed positive cases in the country to 151,287. Figure derived from a sample size of 7,184 tested in the last 24 hours. Country’s positivity rate is at 14.3%.
From the cases 1,009 are Kenyans while 18 are foreigners. 600 are males and 427 are females. The youngest is a two-month-old baby while the oldest is 110 years. Cumulative tests conducted in the country so far stands at 1,599,668.” Said Ministry of Health.” Said Ministry of Health.
On a positive note, 382 patients recovered from the virus, 267 of whom are from home-based care and 115 from various health facilities in the country. The cumulative number of confirmed recoveries now stands at 101,362.
