Kenya through the Ministry of Health has on Monday confirmed 152 new cases of COVID-19 from a total of 2,213 samples tested.
The new cases and samples push the cumulative number of confirmed case and samples to 106,125 and 1,301,051 respectively.
Out of the new cases, 144 of them are Kenyans and 8 are foreigners aged between seven years and 79 years. In terms of gender 83 of them are male and 69 are females.

Distribution of the cases is as follows; Nairobi has 131 cases, Kiambu 10, Machakos 4, Kajiado 2, Nyeri 2, Meru 1, Mombasa 1 and Murang’a.
In the same 24 hours, 39 patients recovered from the virus rising the number of recoveries in the country to 86,717. The recoveries comprise of 23 home-based patients and 16 are from various hospitals across the country.
Unfortunately, 3 patients succumbed to the virus pushing the cumulative number of fatalities in the country to 1,859.
