Kenya Red Cross Society, KRCS boss Abbas Gullet is set to retire at the end of the year as revealed during KRCS staff meeting.
Abbas Gullet who serves as the Kenya Red Cross Secretary General is said to be replaced by Aisha Mohammed who currently hold the Deputy Secretary General position.
His retirement will bring to an end an 18 year rule which has been described as a job well done from KRCS Governor Mohamud.
In addition to that, he has also been praised for bringing down the organization’s Ksh35 million debts to Ksh 10 million.
On his part Abbas Gullet thanked Kenya Red Cross for their continued support and dedication during the 18 year stay.
Even though he will depart, he noted they will forever be part of his family.

His successor has previously worked as the Head of International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent delegation in Johannesburg, South Africa.
