Kenya Red Cross rescue students stuck at Tsavo East

Kenya Red Cross and Kenya Wildlife Service have come to the rescue of students stuck at Tsavo East National Park.

The students got stuck at the park on Thursday when their two buses stuck due to the ongoing rains in the country.

Confirming the incident was the NGO who said they were responding to the issue and would resolve it.

“Two buses carrying school children stuck at Tsavo East National Park since yesterday evening following a heavy downpour. Kenya Wildlife Service and Kenya Red Cross Society currently responding. Details to follow.”

The news comes at a time when heavy rains hit most parts of the country as Kenya Meteorological department warns the rains will continue for another week.

Havoc has been caused and deaths reported in some parts of the country which were heavily hit by the rains.

Bridges have been destroyed and cars swept away taking away lives on the spot.

The government is yet to provide a solution to some of the problems including disasters during such times.
