Kenya has on Monday 10th August confirmed 492 new cases of COVID-19 from a sample size of 4,603.
Speaking from Kericho, CS Mutahi Kagwe noted that the new cases now bring the cumulative number of cases to 26,928.Out of the new cases, 331 are male and 161 are females.

“Today we have registered 492 Covid-19 cases out of a sample of 4603; out of these, 331 are male, while 161 are women. So far we have tested a Cumulative of 26, 928 people in the Country.” Said Ministry of Health.
On a positive note, 534 patients recovered from the virus, 478 of them being from home based care and 56 from various hospitals.The number of recoveries now stands at 13,495.
“Today, I am happy to report that 534 patients were discharged after full recovery of the disease ; 478 were from home base care program, while 56 we’re from various hospitals. Total cumulative discharge is 13, 495.” Said Ministry of Health,
The number of fatalities rose to 423 after three more patients succumbed to the virus in the last 24-hours.
“Sadly, we have lost 3 more patients to the disease. This brings the total number of fatality to 423.” Said CS Mutahi Kagwe.
