Kenya Revenue Authority clears SportPesa

Kenya’s betting firm SportPesa has confirmed to have been cleared by the Kenya Revenue Authority through a letter to its esteemed customers.

SportPesa further reveals notable progress following sessions with regulators and the government with the aim of better understanding the gaming industry.

“Sporipesa has been engaging stakeholders on the current licensing issue.

Our sessions with regulators and government are targeted towards creating a better understanding of the gaming industry with the view of creating a sharéd perspective on related regulation, including tax administration.”

The betting giants are confident to resume its operations soon having been cleared by Kenya Revenue Authority.

They thanked each and every customer, employee and key stakeholder for their continued commitment as they will be communicating when the will commence operations.

They also reaffirmed their commitment is supporting the government’s economic development agenda by operating as a law-abiding business by being tax compliant.
