The government of Kenya has inked an agreement with FIA and WRC to hold the safari rally every year until the year 2026.
The news was confirmed by President Uhuru Kenyatta who joined other sports enthusiasts at Naivasha to witness the finish of the safari rally competition.
“President Uhuru Kenyatta announces that an agreement has been reached between GoK, FIA and WRC to hold Safari Rally every year, until the year 2026.” Said Spokesperson GoK.

Present during the power finish was Sports CS Amina Mohamed, former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, Tourism CS Najib Balala and Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka who joined thousands of Kenyans who have been keenly following the competition.
“President Uhuru Kenyatta was joined by several national leaders among them former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, former Vice President skmusyoka and Nakuru Governor Gov Lee Kinyanjui at the Power Stage Finish of the 2021 WRC Safari Rally in Naivasha, Nakuru County.
The leaders were among thousands of Kenyan motorsport enthusiasts who turned up on the last day of the spectacular WRC Safari Rally that was won by French driver Seb Ogier.” Said State House.
