The government has confirmed to have sent a total of Ksh 1.3 million to assist Kenyans in Wuhan especially students.
Through spokesman Cyrus Oguna, the money will be used to assist the students to get basic supplies following the coronavirus outbreak.
In addition to the amount, the Chinese government is reporters to have released Ksh 500,000 to assist Kenyans in Wuhan.

Speaking on Thursday Oguna said that it will risky to bring them back as they might risk their health.
He continued by confirming that the country has already set up a team of health officials to deal with the virus if reported.
Oguna ruled out the possibilities of a coronavirus outbreak in the country.
At the moment the country has already set up isolation facilities at Kenyatta National hospital to deal with the virus.
Protective gears have also been purchased to ensure all visitors are confirmed before entering the country.
The Chinese government advised its citizens to self isolate themselves for 14 days once in the country as a precaution.
