Kenya has confirmed an additional 544 new cases of coronavirus bringing to 19,125 the accumulative number of confirmed cases in the country.
The new cases are from a sample size of 5,259 bringing the total number of samples tested so far to 289,759.
Revealing the new figure, Health CS Mutahi Kagwe confirmed 113 new recoveries which now brings to 8,021 the total number of recoveries in the country.

The CS sadly noted that an additional 12 patients succumbed to the virus rising the number of deaths confirmed to 311.
He was speaking as he noted how the consumption of alcohol greatly encouraged gatherings urging Kenyans to take protect themselves and the ones they love.
Doctors were on the spot as Kagwe revealed that some flout the regulations when they are well aware they interacted with some of the patients.
He was referring to one hospital where a doctors was about his duties until when the nurse stopped him requesting him to got to isolation.
