Kenya’s COVID-19 recoveries rise by 329 to 22,771

Kenya as a country has on Saturday confirmed 176 new cases of COVID-19 rising the confirmed number of cases to 35,969.

A total of 4,115 samples were tested in the last 24 hours bringing to 494,560 the cumulative number of tests so far carried out.

All of the new cases are Kenyans except three who are foreigners, the number of males is 132 and females 44.The youngest is 3-months and the oldest 78-years.

“176 people have today tested psotive for Corona Virus after 4,115 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.

This brings the number of positive cases to 35,969  and cumulatively  tests to 494, 560. From the cases today all are kenyans except  5 who are foreigners,132 are males & 44 female while rhe youngest is a three month old baby while the oldest is 78.” Said CS Mutahi Kagwe.

329 patients recovered comprising of 43 home-based patients and 286 from various hospitals.This brings to 22,771 the total number of recoveries.

“329 people have recovered  from the disease. 43 are from home  based care program and 286 discharged  from various hospitals bringing the total recoveries now to 22,771. We thank our health care workers for the good job.” Said CS Kagwe

Three people succumbed from the virus in the last 24 hours bringing to 619 the number of deaths.
