Kenya has on Monday confirmed the highest daily fatalities from coronavirus at 12 bringing the total number of deaths to 197.
“Sadly, we have lost 12 patients to the disease. All the deaths are from Nairobi County, nine from various hospitals, while three are community deaths. This is the highest number of fatalities recorded in a single day since this pandemic struck.” Said MOH
The Ministry of Health also confirmed 189 new cases of the virus in the country bringing the cumulative cases to 10,294.

In the daily updates, the new cases are reported to have been found in 1,205 samples collected raising the total number of samples tested so far to 216,242.
“Out of the new cases 106 are males and 83 are females. The youngest is 5-year old & the oldest is 71.
The positive cases are from; Nairobi 147, Kiambu 20, Machakos 11, Kajiado 5, Mombasa 2, Uasin Gishu, Kisumu, Laikipia and Kericho have one (1) case each.”
Health workers were however able to discharge 65 patients from various hospitals across the country pushing the number of recoveries to 2,946.
“Today we have discharges 65 patients from our various hospitals bringing to 2,946 the number of recoveries from the disease in the country.” Said MOH.
