Khalighraph Jones aka Baba yao has on Friday hit back at DJ Pinye’s statement after calling on fellow DJ’s not to play mediocre music.
Dj Pinye who was doing an interview at NRG radio on Friday stated that back in the days there are artist whose music he could not play but their careers have grown. Such artist included Khaligraph Jones and DNA.
Pinye continued by saying that he cannot play Lamba Lolo or New Position and he called out on DJ’s not to play mediocre music.
The statement never settled well with Khaliph Jones who said that he is so lucky that nowadays he is silent on some issues and has some respect but otherwise he could have released a distract to that effect.
“According to DJ Pinye, Iused to make mediocre music so he couldn’t play my mediocre music on his TV show,buda una bahati sikuhizi nimekuwa mpole kiasi na nina ka heshima flani otherwise disstrack ingekuwa ishatembea sai watu wana sing along mbaya sana, mazishi ni ile ile.” Replied back Khaligraph Jones.
Kenyans reactions to Dj Pinye’s statement
DJ Pinye’s words never went well with a lot of Kenyans with a majority of them calling on support to the Kenyan Musicians.
Others said that the DJ’s are not be blamed because when they hit the club, they want to something to dance along whether it’s a mediocre or not.
A few others supported the veteran DJ calling for artist to step up their game or else Kenyans will stick to foreign songs.
