Police based at Sagana police station are holding a 36-year-old woman who is reported to have killed her son as she exorcised demons from him.
The incident which has since shocked villagers is reported to have been witnessed by the husband who found the 5-year-old boy pinned to the ground as the mother spoke in tounges.
Efforts to rescue the child turned futile as the mother overpowered the husband claiming he was coming in between her prayers as reported by Standard Media.

The husband continued by revealing that they were not in bad terms and the incident shocked him as well.
Neighbours to the woman confirmed that she a Akorino faithful but the act is contrary to what they are being taught. They continued by confirming it was the first of its kind in the village.
Kirinyaga police commander confirmed the same to Standard Media as the body of the 5-year-old was moved to Kerugoya Hospital mortuary pending autopsy to determine cause of death.
