Police have arrested one suspect behind the stoning of Deputy President William Ruto’s convoy in Kondele, Kisumu County.
Wilson Aminda a Kisumu County government employee was arrested by detectives who will grill his role in leading a group of youth to cause chaos during the Wednesday incident.
The incident caused blame game among politicians with those allied to Deputy President demanding action and good governance that will not separate Kenyans ahead of the general elections.

Despite the cries, National Police Service issued a statement confirming informing the Deputy President’s team of existing tension in the area caused by youth demanding a share of the disbursed cash.
ODM Party Leader Raila Odinga distanced himself from the claims terming such incidents as very small to him and that he will never lead people in his home turf to rebel his opponents.
Deputy President William Ruto also experienced a similar treatment in Migori when youths from the region hackled Governor Okoth Obado with some shouting Sharon Otieno’s name.
