Kisumu Governor Anyang’ Nyong’o has on Sunday been airlifted to Nairobi for specialized treatment.
The Kisumu Governor has been taken to Nairobi after falling ill on Saturday. He was admitted at Aga khan Hospital in Kisumu.
According to Governor Nyong’o’s doctor, the Governor had his blood pressure go down even though they say he is in a stable condition.

A previous statement from his communication team said that the Governor excused himself during the installation of the second Kisumu Metropolitan Diocese arch Bishop Philip Subira Anyoka. It was during the medical examination that he was diagnosed with a sudden drop of blood pressure.
His doctors however described it as a brief bed rest as the pressure is stabilized. “Following discomfort while attending the installation of the second Kisumu Metropolitan Diocese Arch Bishop Philip Subira Anyolo at Uzima University Kisumu Governor Prof. Anyang’ Nyong’o excused himself to seek medical attention where he was diagnosed with a sudden drop of blood pressure.
His doctor has prescribed a brief bed rest as the pressure is stabilized. The Governor is in a stable condition.” Said the Governor’s communication unit.
