Kisumu National Polytechnic has been closed indefinitely following unrest witnessed on Monday at the institution.

Police engaged the angry students in running battles as the school management issued an order for all students to vacate the building.

As at 10 am, the police were forced to lobby teargas in the air so as to disperse the students who caused panic in the city.
