Detectives from the Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission have on Wednesday arrested four police officers in Kisumu.

The police officers in question were arrested taking bribe from vehicles plying the Mambo Leo-Town route in the morning hours.

Drama ensued as the officers engaged EACC detectives in a gun battle as they tried to get away.

One of the officers is reported to have been shot in the process before they were arrested and taken into a waiting vehicle.

They were then escorted to EACC offices in Central Square where they were held for some time.

An ambulance was called in and later they were escorted out of the offices.
