Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana has on Friday declared interest to run for Presidency come 2022.
The Governor admitted to have heard the voice of the ordinary people (wanjikus) pleading with him to run for the top most seat in the country.
It is due to the pleas, he has obeyed their wishes as he says he is willing and ready to go all the way to the ballot box come 2022.

“I have listened to the voice of Wanjiku asking me to run for presidency in the coming election. I am available, ready and willing to be Wanjiku’s President.
Will go all the way to the Ballot Box with Wanjiku in 2022. We must ensure devolution works for our communities.”
The news comes two days after the Governor launched the national One Million Kitchen Garden plan.
In his speech, he said the initiative will benefit 15,000 households, aims to boost food supply, and ensure Kenyans consume healthy diets as described by the COVID-19 response team.
“Makueni today hosted the launch of the national One Million Kitchen Gardens Plan. The initiative by Kilimo will boost reliable food supply and adoption of healthy diets as part of the covid-19 response campaign. At least 15,000 households in Makueni will benefit from the project.”
