Kobe Bryant dies in a helicopter crash in Calabasas

Former La Lakers star Kobe Bryant has died when his helicopter was involved in an accident on Sunday morning.

At the time of the accident three other people were with Kobe Bryant before the helicopter burst into flames.

Emergency response teams rushed to the scene of the incident but found all five occupants dead.

Also confirmed was the absence of his wife Vanessa as the police sort to know the cause of the crash.

Since his days at La Lakers, Bryant was well known for travelling in his private helicopter.

He has left behind four daughter, Bianca, Capri, Gianna and Natalia.

Gianna, the eldest daughter of Kobe has been following the footsteps of her father spending most time with him during NBA matches.

Capri is the youngest of the three having been born in June 2019 together with his wife Vanessa.

In his 20-year career in basketball, he has featured in 18 All Star tournaments and won 2 NBA MVP and 5 NBA Championships.
