Agitated youths from Kiandutu have taken it upon themselves to repair a worn out Kenya power pole in the area.

The youths conducted the repairs regardless of the danger they exposed themselves as the wires were still transmitting electricity.

It is understood that residents have for sometime now contacted the Kenya Power and Lightning Company to repair the pole but to no avail.

The case in Kiandutu is among many others that Kenyans are undergoing across various places in the country.

Some of the complains raised include hanging power lines, hanging power poles, exposed power lines, illegal connections among others.

Even those with proper power lines have at some point raise question into the power usage on both post paid and prepaid plans.

“After pleading with Kenya Power since February 2020 to come and repair this worn out post without any help, youth from Mosque area in Kiandutu decided to “take the law into their hands” and repair it themselves, oblivious of the danger posed.” Said Thika Town Today.
