On Wednesday Kenya Revenue Authority seized cannabis oil filled in 26 cartridges and hashish is five one gram sachets at JKIA Nairobi.
The drugs were declared as candy and sent via courier and hidden in a package of vitamin tablets.
Customs and border control commissioner Julius Musyoki said that the goods were taken through scanning and verification before the discovery.
“The drugs were seized by KRA Customs Enforcement Officers during a routine check by the K9 team at the Cargo Centre (KQ) Shed,” Said Musyoki. Samples of the shipment were later taken to the customs laboratory for further testing.

In addition to that, Mr. Musyoki also confirmed that they have increased customes and border control through addition K9 units and five more police dogs.
The additional re-enforcement is to cover baggage and cargo areas at the Mombasa Port, airports and Inland Container Deport in Embakassi.
