A Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) official has passed away following an attack by a swarm of bees on Majengo, Mombasa County.
The officer identified as John Muthine Mutwiri was in the company of two of his friends on Saturday when the unfortunate incident happened.
It is reported that the bees entered the vehicle that the deceased was driving before attacking the three of them. His two friend managed to escape but the deceased was badly hurt that he fell on the ground.

After the incident, he was quickly rushed to Coast General Hospital for treatment but was confirmed dead on arrival.
“A KRA staff yesterday died in Mombasa after a swarm of bees entered his vehicle and attacked him at Red brick area in Majengo, Mombasa.
Overwhelmed by the bee stings, the victim fell at a nearby garage after he managed to get out of the car and was rushed to the Coast Teaching and Referral Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.” Said Thika Town Today
