In February this year, she was admitted at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Hospital where she was reported to have been neglected by her family members before one woman came to her rescue.
According to an article published by Daily Nation, Nancy Achieng took in Lady Maureen following a post shared online by singer Akothee.
Akothee promised to chip in the expenses and even led a drive to construct a house for her and her mother back in Migori County.
Speculations online surfaced later on that she had passed on before the musician herself confirmed to be alive and recuperating back at home.
