Detectives based in Laikipia East have trailing a motor vehicle theft suspect following the discovery of a Toyota Belta and several number plates at his house.
“Detectives based in Laikipia East are trailing a suspect of Motor vehicle theft following the recovery of a suspected stolen Toyota Belta, and several vehicle registration number plates at his homestead at Kakurat area, Kieni East.” Said DCI

The discovery of the stolen items follows the ambush of Duncan Ndirangu Githaiga’s homestead where the number plates were confisticated alongside the vehicle.
“Acting on intelligence leads while pursuing a different stolen vehicle, the officers ambushed the homestead of Duncan Ndirangu Githaiga, where search in his store saw the recovery of the said plates alongside the saloon car, Reg. No. KCB 769U.” Said DCI
The suspect narrowly escaped the detectives as those who have lost their number plates requested to claim them back.
“The suspect, however, escaped the detectives snare but he is being pursued. We urge anyone who may have lost their car bearing any of the recovered number plates to liaise with DCI Laikipia East. These are: CE 176AF, KAU 059W, KAV 930K, KCC 367R, UAE 545U, UAT 528M, UAE 957F, KBX 414H, KCB 824E, KJT 649 and chases number NCP510043243.” Said DCI
