An OCS from Lamu County is following unclear release of a drug dealer over the weekend under his watch.
Shadrack Mumo who mans Kizingitini Police Station in Lamu County has been arrested to explain the mysterious release of the suspect after he was released.
The suspect is said to have been arrested following a successful interception and taken to the police station together with the evidence at hand.

He is said to have negotiated his release under the watch of the OSC and three other junior officers.
Lamu County Commissioner Irungu Macharia had already issued a stern warning if the suspect is not re-arrested.
Legal action is expected to be taken by Mr. Irungu following his warning.
Interior CS warning to leaders
The arrest comes barely a day after Interior CS Dr. Fred Matiang’i issued a stern warning to leaders aiding the release of criminals in Mombasa.

Matiang’I’s warning follows a planned sweep his administration has begun to arrest all criminals and bring order in the coastal town.
He was speaking after visiting victims of the Bamburi attack done by a terror group dubbed Wakili Kwanza.
The Interior CS promised the exercise will be painful but they are ready to purse the criminals.
