Lands CS Farida Karoney’s father dies in a road accident

Lands Cabinet Secretary Farida Karoney is mourning the death of his father Edward Kiprotich Karoney.

Mr. Karoney is reported to have been knocked down by a motorbike in Kapsabet as he crossed before he succumbed to the injuries while receiving treatment.

President Uhuru Kenyatta mourned the death of Mr. Edward as he comforted the family of the Lands CS.

“President Uhuru Kenyatta has sent a message of comfort to the family of Mzee Edward Kiprotich Karoney who passed away in a road accident this evening. Mzee Karoney, 74, was Lands Cabinet Secretary Farida karoney’s father.” Said President Uhuru.

Deputy President William Ruto remembered the late Edward Karoney as a tireless servant who offered counsel to the society.

“We have lost a pillar, a role-model and a tireless servant of the community. Mzee Edward Kiprotich Karoney, father to CS for Lands Farida karoney, was a hardworking and progressive man who diligently offered counsel to the society. Undoubtedly, his legacy will endure forever.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends during this difficult time. Rest In Peace, Mzee Karoney.” Said DP Ruto
