Lawyer Paul Gicheru was on Monday found dead in his Karen home with the cause of his death remaining unknown.
At the time of publishing, police had arrived at his home ready to commence an investigation as the family did reveal the cause of his death.
Gicheru made headlines in 2020 after he was charged for allegedly bribing witnesses set to testify at the International Criminal Court (ICC) in Hague.

In June, both the prosecution and defense teams submitted their final submissions before the court which was to give the final direction into the matter.
Lawyer Gicheru had already informed the court how innocent he was in the case even though the prosecution team termed him guilty on all counts.
The same sentiment was shared by his defense team who noted that the prosecution team lacked the threshold to charge him or declare a guilty verdict against him.
President Ruto’s case at ICC failed to kick off after the court noted threats leveled against witnesses thus lacking the necessary ground to prosecute him.
