Legendary Jazz musician Oliver Mtukudzi has passed on at the age of 66 after a short illness.
The African legend is said to have passed on at Avenues Hospital in Harare after falling ill as reported by Zimbabwe press.
Oliver Mtukudzi worked as a good will ambassador and won the hearts of many across the continent through his Afro-Jazz talent.
At the time of his death, Mr. Oliver had over 60 albums under his belt spanning over 45 years.
His music were purely messages to the youth, on matters HIV/AIDS, substance abuse among others.
At one time he was ranked in Forbes magazine as one of the top 10 bankable artists from Africa.
Oliver Mtukudzi will also be remembered as a philanthropist and the defender of human rights.
