Lillian the wife to Machakos Governor Dr. Alfred Mutua has on Satursday completed a 35 km run as confirmed by the Governor himself.
The run which is meant to mark her 35th birthday set for Monday, June 22nd was organised for Saturday because it was less disruptive unlike other days.
“Lillian turns 35 on Monday, June 22nd but she chose to run today on the 20th because it is a Saturday and less disruptive of other people’s schedules. She has been training for this marathon for months because she enjoys running.”

The Governor later joined her at the 25th km at the Machakos People’s park where they both completed the marathon together.
“I later joined her at the 25km mark at the Machakos People’s Park covered 10 km and the final kilometers with her to the finishing point at the upcoming A & L Hotel on Machakos road. I am very proud of her. Happy Birthday my love.”
Kenyans have been called upon to make it a practice to run as it clears the overall body and helps brain to focus.
“I encourage all Kenyans to walk & run as often as possible for fun or even for getting from point A to point B. This is not only healthy to the overall body but also clears the mind and encourages focus. Fitness gives you an extra bounce in life.”
