Liverpool and Leicester win as Arsenal are held

Liverpool and Leicester won in their Saturday’s fixtures while Arsenal was held at home by Southampton.

Mane and Firmino were on target for Liverpool as they netted both goals for the game in the second half.

Zaha pulled one for the host in the 82nd minute but Brazilian forward Firmino canceled it three minutes later.

The win maintains Liverpool’s stay at the top of the table with 37 points, eight points clear of second placed Leicester.

Leicester extended their impressive run of the season winning against Brighton.

Perez and Vardy scored the only goals of the match in the second half away to the newly promoted side.

Despite the win, they still hold the second position behind league leaders Liverpool who also won.

Premier League strugglers Arsenal failed to capitalize and record a win as they were held by Southampton.

Lacazette scored both goals for the gunners with one being at the extra time of the match.

Ings score the first goal for Southampton in the 8th minute but the French striker canceled the lead ten minutes later.

In the second half, Ward-Prowse missed a penalty in the 71st minute but was on target second later.

During the extra six minutes, Lacazette scored the second to cover Arsenal’s shame as pressure keeps on piling against coach Unai Emery.
