Premier League giants Liverpool has confirmed the signing of right back Calvin Ramsay from Scottish side Aberdeen on a long term contract.
The 18-year-old made his first senior experience in March 2021 where he made 39 appearance, netted one goal and provided nine assist.
His success has been noticeable that he was named Scottish Football Writers’ Association’s Young Player of the Year for 2021/22 and nominated for shortlisted for the PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year award.

Speaking after the news, Ramsay noted that it is a dream come true to join Liverpool and that he is looking forward to prove to the fans his quality.
“It was a dream come true to play for Aberdeen, and now to be at one of the biggest, if not the biggest club in the world, it’s a massive achievement and I’m looking forward to trying to show the fans what I’ve got.
“Hopefully I can come in in pre-season, show everyone at the club, the staff, players what I’ve got and then we’ll see what happens from there.” Said Ramsay
The new defender continued by noting the presence of Alexander Trent-Arnold saying that the club has good pathway for young players like himself that is why he chose it in the first place.
“There’s been a lot of young players that have played – the likes of Trent [Alexander-Arnold] and Harvey [Elliott] as well, there’s a lot more,” said Ramsay.
“There’s obviously a pathway here – that’s one of the reasons I chose it as well. It’s not just a massive club, they give young players chances in the first team.
“So if I can come in in pre-season, put my mark down, then there’s no reason why I can’t push to get in the first-team squad.” Said Ramsay
Calvin Ramsay now becomes the third signing for Jurgen Klopp after confirming the arrival of Darwin Nunez from Monaco and Fabio Carvalho who will join the Reds on July 1st.
