Liverpool FC score late to extend unbeaten run

Liverpool FC scored late in the extra time to continue their unbeaten run when they hosted Leicester City at Anfield.

Sadio Mane score the first goal in the 40th minute capitalizing on James Milner’s ball t send the host ahead in the first half.

In the second half, the in-form Leicester pushed hard equalizing in the 80th minute through Maddison.

In the extra time, Mane was brought down inside the penalty box which was decided through the VAR system.

James Millner stepped up to take the penalty and he did not take any chances sending the ball past Kasper Schmeichel.

The win sealed three points for Liverpool FC with twenty four points and eight points a drift of second placed Manchester City.

In addition to that, the Reds have won straight 17 games, a game behind Manchester City who have won 18 games.

Leicester settle at position three with 14 points, two points ahead of Arsenal who are scheduled to play on Sunday.

Manchester City have the opportunity to close the gap to five when they face Wolves on Sunday.
