Kenyan very own actress Lupita was on Wednesday in Los Angeles to promote latest Kenyan movie titled Supa Modo.
Super Modo is a story of a young girl whose dream of becoming a superhero is threatened by terminal illness but she inspires her village to rally behind her dream and make it come true.
The Nairobi shot movie is a heartwarming, cute and nicely made kid’s film that talks about difficult issues that people go through including cancer in a rather charming way.
The project which was founded by Tom Tykwer and Marie Steinmann was produced as part of the One Fine Day Films workshop projects which gives African filmmakers learn from their mentors and produce movies for an international audience.
Other movies produced from the workshop include Kati Kati, Nairobi Half Life, Something Neccesary and Soul Boy.
Supa Modo had its first world premier during the 68th Berlin International Film Festival.
