A Madeira bus crash kills at least 29 tourists when the bus carrying the German tourists overturned in the Portuguese Island.
27 others sustained injuries and are currently receiving treatment at the town of Canico. The accident is said to have happened when the driver of the bus lost control at a junction before going off the road.
The causalities included eleven men and seventeen women with reports indicating that all passengers in the bus were Germans.
At the time of the accident, the Madeira bus crash had 55 people on board including the driver and the tour guide.

Filipe Sousa the Mayor of Canico mourned the death of the tourist terming it as horrific. Other locals could have been involved in the accident as the identities of the causalities are underway.
Safety standards of the bus are reported to be have been met ruling out talks of what really caused the accident.
Madeira Automobiles, the owners of the bus have pledged support in the investigations as they joined in the morning.
