Mama Ngina Girls School has been closed indefinitely following plans by the students to burn part of the building on Tuesday night.
The decision was reached by the school management who found it safe for the students to leave instead of having some tension within the school.
Speaking to Citizen TV was Mombasa County Director of Education Peter Magiri who confirmed that the students will come back once the school board meets and come up with a decision.

Parents who came to pick their children called out the teachers for keeping them in the dark when something happens in the school.
It is understood that the students had burnt part of the school but the fire was quickly put off by the school administration.
The news comes at a time when school unrest are on the rise as the Ministry of Education finds a lasting solution into the incidents.
