Man charged for failing to pay Ksh 6k bill spent on friends

A club in Nairobi has taken to court a middle aged man for failing to pay Ksh 6,020 in bills he spent to spoil his friends,

Kennedy Otieno Okonji is accused of acquiring goods with false pretense during a night with friends at a VIP lounge with the promise of paying later.

The victim Juliet Akinyi reported the matter after the suspect failed to fulfill the promsie he made at the Mathere based club.

Appearing before the Makadara Law Court, Kennedy Otieno denied the charges leveled against him.

He was released on Ksh 20,000 bail with the case set to be heard again on 27th December.
