Manchester City ended Liverpool unbeaten run following an impressive two one win at the Etihad.
Sergio Aguero and Sane’s goal were enough to close Liverpool’s lead by four points and to show the new Premier League leaders who run the tournament.
In the 40th minute Aguero gave Manchester City the lead following a rising, near post ball that went behind Liverpool net. The goal sent Pep Guardiola’s side ahead in the first half.
Liverpool leveled things in the second half through Firmino as Klopp’s side threatened to change the final results at the Etihad.
Manchester City responded back in the 72nd minute through Leroy Sane following a brilliant near post finish.
Both clubs had the chance to finish things in style but it was Manchester City who took the victory at the end of 90 minutes.
