Manchester City bounced back to the top of the English Premier League following a two-nil win against Manchester United.

Manchester City came into the game knowing that three points are what they need to keep off the pressure from Liverpool.

With three games to go, Pep’s side finished the first half goalless and had to turn up the temp come the second half.

In the 54th minute, Bernardo Silva sent a low ball past David De Gea giving City a one-goal lead in an away match.

Leroy Sane doubled the lead shortly and the Manchester United keeper was at fault again as the ball went through his arms.

The win will force Liverpool to respond back with a win against Huddersfield when the two sides meet on Friday.
